The recently landed new case is located in Beijing, a four-story villa with an area of 300 square meters. The owner is a young and handsome actor, who loves photography and music, and likes simple and sophisticated things. His vision for his home is to keep it simple and unique. In this regard, it coincides with our design concept, so he came to us to do the renovation.
The beige colored walls combined with wood, black and stainless steel colors throughout the case give the whole design a wholeness, but these colors are presented in different proportions in each space, making everywhere you go full of surprises. The texture of the art paint, wood grain and sisal form a wabi-sabi atmosphere, while the stainless steel and glass have a bit of an industrial quality. The overall tone is a delicate balance between rigidity and softness, making it feel rich and natural.
The entryway is designed with shoe cabinets and storage cabinets, and the low cabinets used for shoes can be placed above the keys, door cards and other trivial objects at hand. The surface of the minimalist cabinet door is painted with the same art paint as the wall, making it more integral. A contemporary painting with abstract lines makes this small corner interesting.
Entering the living room from the foyer, you will first see two symmetrical built-in book walls, which are used to display books, plants and ornaments from the man's collection.To prevent deformation, square steel is used inside the partitions, which is very stable. The embedded light strip also provides illumination at night and gives a sense of ambiance to the surrounding area.
The height of the bookshelf is the same height as the beam on the left and the doorway on the right, also for more integrity.The surface of the book wall is still painted with beige paint, making it consistent with the color of the wall material, and also very compatible with the surrounding wood color.
Coming to the center of the living room, it can be seen that the whole house pursues minimalism, but there is no lack of rich visual layers. The concise lines on the hard decoration leave enough space for the cloth field of the sofa area to play.At the beginning of the design, considering that the style favored by the man is serenity, simplicity and quality, a full set of black sofa was chosen in a soft color palette to minimize the jumpy colors and better amplify the qualities of the shape and material, so that the details can stand up to scrutiny.

A stainless steel shelf is also placed behind the sofa, which echoes the other stainless steel elements in the space and visually separates the two spaces without interfering with the view.
In order to keep the space from being cluttered with too many materials inside, stainless steel handles, sockets and switches were applied throughout the house and set them all at a height of 1 meter. Because these points are below the sight line, they have a visual effect of pulling up the height.
The first floor guest bathroom is not designed with a shower area because it is only for the living room. The bathroom without shower area boldly uses wood veneer to unify the texture with the living room and make it look more cozy.The black rock slab sink is quite textured, the metallic mirror edge echoes the faucet, and the slender mirror makes the floor height look higher.
The open kitchen is dominated by black, with black cabinets and hanging cabinets nested in a black frame, like a picture frame, framing the sink and partition in the middle as well, bringing a strong visual impact while highlighting the coolness of minimalism. In front of the cabinets is a black island made of rock slabs, echoing the background behind. The three bar chairs are mid-vintage chairs found at Concept 101, with soft leather cushions that feel great to sit on.

The opposite side of the island is designed with a set of high cabinets with oven, refrigerator and appliance cabinet embedded in it. Looking into the living room from this side, you can feel the smooth airy feeling and the unity of material and style.
The round dining table is customized with travertine, the three legs are not the same thick and thin shape is very interesting, white saucer-shaped glass chandelier warm as jade, and black dining chairs together with a very artistic.
In order to give the place a natural feeling of home, tall lily bamboo and golden fern were specially chosen to dot the corners, and when the light comes through the very textured linen curtains, the plants can make the place full of life.
The staircase in the middle of the living room, like a sculpture, is a highlight of the design. It runs from the first floor to the fourth floor, extending the material of the floor and the top, with unity and at the same time, there exists a rhythmic sense of change. Walking in it, one can feel a wonderful sense of flow.

The TV cabinet was also chosen in black, not only to echo the overall black tone, but also to allow the man to have an immersive experience when watching movies or playing games, without being distracted by excessive decorations.
Besides entertaining, the man also likes to play the piano in his spare time. So we designed a window-like niche in the corner with a light strip embedded inside, in order to create a better atmosphere.
The bed is in the center of the bedroom, and because the back of the bed is designed with a back panel through the ceiling, the whole thing forms a "migratory line". When entering the room from outside, the backsplash provides a certain level of privacy.

The L-shaped floor-to-ceiling closet conceals the handles and blends in with the floor and ceiling. The low cabinet next to it can be used to put ties, watches, jewelry and other small items. The large area of light wood color does not look depressing and gives people an infinite gentle feeling.
The bathroom is triple-separated, with a dry area for hand washing in the middle, a shower on the left, and a toilet room on the right. The wall material is micro-cement, the same color as the wall paint, bringing wholeness.
The bathroom cabinet uses a black rock slab countertop with black lacquered cabinet doors. In addition to the design of a light strip on the countertop, the wall is also embellished with a stainless steel round light to enhance the quality with small details.
In the case of satisfying the function, some wall paintings and furniture with artistic sense were also chosen. For example, the interesting shape of the white high-backed chair, different from the conventional chair, placed in the corner to make people feel full of artistic sense. White is also more elegant than black, and yellow paintings with together, full of style.
